Robert Hubers has a passion for people, mountains and explaining how things work.

His enthusiasm for the Alps resulted in the establishment of Alpendreams BV. Over the past few years, it became clear to him that many people considering a second home put off the decision to buy due to uncertainty over financing.

Robert Hubers has been spending his holidays in the Alps for decades now. He enjoys walking, Alpine hut trekking, skiing, climbing the highest peaks (including 4000+ mountains) and has also discovered mountainbiking over the past few years.
In the mountains, it’s always holiday season no matter what time of year it is. This is exactly what makes owning a second home in the Alps so attractive. The property will retain its value throughout the seasons, offering greater possibilities for letting.

Huber’s varied career started in the education sector, where he became managing director of a primary school at age 28. He has been active as an entrepreneur since 1998, when he set up Hubers financial consultancy. In early 2008 he also established Vidaz, (see www.vidaz.nl) an enterprise rooted in the philosophy that financial services should be centred around clients’ personal wishes and needs. In 2007, he was one of the first financial consultants in the Netherlands to become a certified Life Planner. Life planning involves helping people to identify their own wishes and dreams and using money as a tool to realise goals. However, life planners do not regard money or material possessions as a life goal in themselves.
